The Sims 4 – Day of the Dead Challenge

YOUTUBE TUTORIAL VIDEO – Day of the Dead Challenge

Sims 4 Let’s Play ~ Day of the Dead Challenge

UNLOCK SUGAR SKULL DISPLAY CASE

Use your sim’s cellphone and call Jasmine Holiday. This will unlock the SUGAR SKULL DISPLAY CASE in buy mode.

ALTERNATIVE: Use CHEAT to unlock the Sugar Skull Display Case: bb.ignoregameplayunlocksentitlement

GOAL OF THE DAY OF THE DEAD CHALLENGE

Collect the nine unique SUGAR SKULLS and then place them inside the Sugar Skull Display Case to unlock the ‘HONOUR THE DEAD’ interaction—this interaction rewards your household with a TENTH GOLDEN SKULL and ENHANCED INTERACTION WITH THE GRIM REAPER.

HOW TO COLLECT SUGAR SKULLS

(1) Bring an NPC ‘celebrator’ Sim into your neighbourhood by using the ‘LEAVE SUGAR SKULL OFFERING’ interaction on nearby tombstone/urn at night.

***There is a 24-hour cooldown period for the ‘leave sugar skull’ interaction; multiple Sims can perform this interaction to increase the speed of skull collection

(2) Once you find an NPC celebrator (they are garbed in Day of the Dead attire), use the ‘ASK FOR SUGAR SKULL’ interaction.

(3) From dusk to dawn, look for NPC celebrators roaming around the neighbourhood and use the ‘ask for sugar skull’ interaction to collect sugar skulls

***Repeat (1), (2) and (3) until you are able to collect the nine sugar skulls

ALTERNATIVE: Use CHEAT: bb.showhiddenobjects cheat to unlock buydebug—unlocks debug mode which contains all nine sugar skulls. Search for ‘Nadia’ to be directed to the skull section.

COLLECTING THE GOLDEN SUGAR SKULL

Once you have completed the sugar skull collection (there should be nine different sugar skulls), place them into the Sugar Skull Display Case and this will unlock the ‘HONOUR THE DEAD’ interaction. The tenth skull awarded is the GOLDEN SUGAR SKULL.

The sim that honours the dead will then (1) change into celebrant attire (Day of the Dead attire) with a smoke emanating from the sim, (2) gain a special 8-hour moodlet that gives the Sim enhanced interaction with the Grim Reaper (higher rate of successful pleading and quicker rate of gaining relationship with the Grim Reaper).

The Sims 4 New Game Patch: Phone Covers etc.

There’s a new game patch released on 16 August. Of course there were several issues addressed (bug fixes and all that jazz) but I will only feature phone covers in this blog. For full patch info check out SimsVIP.com

a2

The pink with white polka dots phone cover is adorbs and the cover with the black and grey stripes looks really cool; the grey almost looks metallic.

a3

So, how to customise the phone cover? Open your Sim’s phone menu and look for the ‘Change Phone Cover Colour’ icon/button and choose your desired colour and pattern.

16th August ~ World Bratwurst Day

What is a bratwurst?

It’s a type of German pork sausage that is generally grilled or fried.

2

My sims had a picnic at Magnolia Park in Willow Creek and grilled some delish bratwurst.

Best way to enjoy a bratwurst is to share it.

3

HAPPY WORLD BRATWURST DAY!

There Home: Christmas in July

In the Southern Hemisphere, seasons are reversed so we have our winter from June to August. In Australia, midwinter Christmas is celebrated on the month of July. I missed out on the Christmas in July at my IRL workplace but I can always have one in my virtual world. So before the month ends — celebrating Chrissy in July in my virtual world home, with some eggnog and cookies. To all celebrating — Happy Christmas in July!
